Description
The Patro of Art 2015 edition. Just as Pavarotti wore his black tuxedo with a white bow tie and shirt when on stage, the Limited Edition 4810 also comes in black and white lacquer. Delicate flower patterns on the red lacquer cone, as well as the turquoise cabochon, are reminiscent of the colorful Hawaiian shirts Pavarotti typically wore. The Eastern influence found in the music is reflected in the black and white lacquer dragon with its red garnet eyes adorning the cap. Fine engravings depicting opera ornaments decorate the Au 750 gold cone, which is adorned with a faceted garnet. A delicate engraving of Pavarotti’s unconventional good-luck charm, a bent nail, decorates the Au 750 solid gold nib of both Limited Editions. Also featured in both Limited Editions is the gold-coated clip recalling Pavarotti’s trademark extravagant scarves. The forepart of the Limited Edition is embellished with five engraved rings, symbolizing the five tiers at the “Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti” opera house.
